What a head spa is and what a visit looks like

A head spa is a Japanese trend: scalp massage, scalp care and deep rest in a single treatment. In Ostrava-Vítkovice it is offered by Harmony Haven Spa. It is not a wellness centre with a pool or a sauna, but an individual treatment by appointment that lasts 60 to 105 minutes, depending on the programme. You lie on a heated bed under a blanket, relaxing music plays and, according to the operator, the lighting evokes a starry sky.

According to the salon, a visit goes roughly like this:

  1. Arrival. Come 10 minutes early. You settle in, fill in a short questionnaire and are given a cup of relaxing tea.
  2. Scalp check. It starts with a look at your scalp through a trichology camera, a handheld camera whose enlarged image appears on a tablet. The care is adjusted to it.
  3. Massage. Depending on the programme, a massage of the décolleté, neck and hands and, above all, a scalp massage using head spa techniques.
  4. Wash and care. A relaxing hair wash and herbal or flower care, and for some programmes a steam treatment too.
  5. Blow-dry. A blow-dry and light styling to finish.
  6. Afterwards. Coffee in the quiet zone and a make-up corner to freshen up. You pay only after the treatment.

Who a head spa is for, and who it is not for

It suits people who want deep rest and a massage of the head, neck and décolleté, who would like their scalp looked at with a trichology camera, or who are shopping for a gift. The programmes come in variants for women and for men. Two guests can be treated at the same time, each in their own room, and the date is arranged with the salon. According to the operator the treatment is also offered to clients from age 13, but the Kudy z nudy listing marks it as suitable for adults, so ask the salon.

And who it is not for:

  • Anyone looking for a pool, sauna or whirlpool. There is no pool, thermal water, sauna, whirlpool or accommodation here, and no nude sauna either; see the Amenities section of the profile. For a spa with pools and saunas, use the Amenities filter on the home page. It also has a Head spa option, which at the time of writing only this spa has in our directory.
  • Anyone with hair extensions. According to the operator the treatment is not suitable.
  • Fresh botox, fillers or epilepsy. According to the operator's blog the treatment is not suitable; call the salon if in doubt. We found nothing about pregnancy in the salon's material, so ask beforehand.
  • The 60-minute Relax for women is for short hair only. With long hair you book the 90-minute variant at 2,000 CZK. The booking system does not say how many centimetres count as short, so ask before you book.
  • Anyone expecting medical treatment. Trichology Care is not medical treatment, and the salon does not describe it as such. See a doctor about scalp health problems.

Booking and preparation

You book in advance online in Noona, up to 60 days ahead and without a deposit. If a slot is taken you can join a waiting list. Only the booking system shows the free slots and their times. The salon's website and the service descriptions in the booking system are in Czech; the phone number and e-mail are on the profile.

No special preparation is needed. You do not have to wash your hair beforehand, just do not arrive with a lot of styling product (hairspray, gel, wax). According to the FAQ on the salon's website, a head spa is best done before colouring your hair; after colouring it recommends waiting at least 10 to 14 days.

According to the operator the therapists ask about the water temperature at the start and during the treatment, so say so right away if it does not suit you. You pay after the treatment on site, in cash or by card. A late cancellation may be charged a fee. The terms are in the booking confirmation and the salon's terms and conditions, so read them before you book.

The salon is at Halasova 20 in Ostrava-Vítkovice, opposite Jiřího z Poděbrad square. It has no car park of its own. According to the operator you can park right next to the salon or on the square, and a large car park with hundreds of spaces is about 50 m away.

On Google the salon has a rating of 5 out of 5 (221 reviews) as of 30 Oct 2026, and 4.9 out of 5 (28 reviews) on Firmy.cz. These are guest ratings on third-party sites and the counts change. You can find more on the Harmony Haven Spa profile.
