About

Aquacentrum Šternberk is a municipal indoor pool complex that opened in autumn 2022. It is run by Šternberská sportovní s.r.o. and the town owns the site. It has a 25 m swimming pool, a leisure pool with a lazy river, a teaching pool, a toddler pool, indoor and outdoor whirlpools and a water slide.

The wellness zone offers a sauna (recommended temperature 90 °C and capacity 20 people, according to the operator), a steam chamber, a cooling pool, an indoor relaxation room and an outdoor whirlpool on the terrace, which runs only in the summer months. The house rules state that the sauna is entered without swimwear, and the opening hours set out days for women, for men and shared days.

Opening hours

Valid from 1 Oct 2026. Entry to the paid zone ends one hour before closing, and the pools and wellness must be left 15 minutes before the end. Closed on 1 Jan, Easter Monday and 25 Dec; sauna operation may be adjusted by season, and hours may change on public holidays and school holidays. On Mon, Wed and Fri from 6:00 to 9:00 only the 25 m pool is open, for subscribers.

Prices

The price list valid from 1 Sep 2026 shows admission to the water and wellness zones as images that could not be read, so admission is not listed here; check the operator's website or reception. Wellness admission includes the water zone, and the fee covers a locker and 15 extra minutes for changing. Payment is by cash, card and a range of vouchers (e.g. Multisport, Sodexo, Pluxee, Edenred).

Rules and good to know

• The sauna and steam chamber are entered without swimwear, and you must wash with soap and water first
• In the sauna you sit or lie on a sheet (rented at the sauna desk, or your own at least 125×210 cm)
• Children from 4 may enter the wellness; those aged 4–15 need an adult
• Pools require clean, non-absorbent swimwear no longer than knee length
• Entry is only with a chip wristband; food and glass are not allowed in the wellness
• After drinking alcohol you may not enter the sauna, steam chamber, cooling pool or whirlpool
