AQUAtherm Freibad
Water park
About
The aquatherm open-air pool is part of the municipal Stadtwerke Straubing complex, which also includes an indoor pool hall and a sauna. According to the operator, the outdoor section offers a spacious park, a 50 m swimming pool with eight lanes, 1 m, 3 m and 5 m diving towers, and a 1,000 m² fun pool with a current channel, fountains and a water mushroom.
For children there is a splash area with fountains on two levels, for families a large and a wide slide (100 m of slides in total), beach volleyball and beach soccer courts and a bistro with a terrace. The outdoor season has just ended and in winter the indoor pool hall and sauna are open, so this entry also covers them.
