Bánfürdő is a thermal bath with a campsite in the village of Nagybánhegyes in south-eastern Hungary (Békés county). It is run by Bánhegyesi Vízszolgáltató Nonprofit Kft. Thermal water first sprang up here in 1971, and a thermal bath still operates on the spot.
According to the operator, the water is highly mineralised, of low hardness, sodium-hydrogen-carbonate in type, rich in metaboric acid, bromides, iodides and fluorides, and, based on visitor feedback, is said to help with rheumatic complaints, skin conditions and gynaecological problems. Next to the bath the campsite is open all year, according to the village website.
