About
Banja Tirol is a traditional Russian sauna (banja) in Gießenbach near Scharnitz in Tyrol, run by the sauna team Aufgussteam Harmony (Andreas and Diana Weiß). According to the operator, the wooden banja has three rooms: a washroom, a rest room and a steam room; the "ritual banja" consists of the rest room and the steam room.
A visit is a ritual by prior booking: massage and treatments with oak and birch switches at 45–60 °C, rests between treatments, refreshments and an outdoor hot tub heated to about 40 °C. The operator also rents out a sauna tent for the garden.
