About
The Cave Bath in Miskolctapolca is a thermal bath which, according to the operator, sits in a natural limestone cave system and is Hungary's only natural cave bath. The indoor cave pools are 29–32 °C, the thermal sitting and swimming pools 33–35 °C; in summer outdoor pools open (a shell pool, a swimming pool and children's pools).
It includes a Sauna Park: two lava-stone Finnish saunas for 10 people, one for 30, a steam cabin for 14 and three infrared saunas, plus a plunge pool at 16–18 °C. The sauna is paid separately, and the sauna ticket is bought at the ticket office.

Regular hours resume from 2 Jan 2027. According to the site, Aquatherapy is temporarily closed. The boating lake may change its hours in bad weather.

The price list is valid from 20 Aug to 31 Dec 2026, prices include 27% VAT, and the operator reserves the right to change them. The site also lists lower prices for people with a permanent Miskolc address, group and reduced tickets. Children under 4 enter free. Payment is by cash, card or SZÉP cards. Exceeding the time limit costs 40 Ft per minute.

Rules and good to know
- Swimwear is compulsory in the pools; topless and naturist bathing are not allowed on the premises
- Men must wear swim shorts that reach above the knee, made specifically for swimming
- In the sauna cabins swimwear, a bath sheet or a towel is compulsory
- A shower before entering the sauna is compulsory; own essential oils may not be used
- The sauna is for ages 4 and over; children under 14 only with an adult
- Food, alcohol and beach equipment may not be brought into the Sauna Park
- Only people who can swim may use the swimming pool
- Lockers work with RFID wristwatches; a lost watch costs 5,000 Ft
Getting there
By car from Budapest on the M3 and M30 motorways or road 3, from Debrecen on the M35 and M3
Leave the motorway at Miskolc Déli (from Budapest and Debrecen) or Miskolc Északi or Keleti (from Košice)
The free car park off Miskolctapolcai út is about 1,100 m (15 minutes on foot); paid car parks on Csabai utca, Győri utca and at the Bay–LOGI Institute are 350–400 m from the bath
