About
carpesol is a natural brine spa (Therme) in Bad Rothenfelde, Lower Saxony, on the edge of the Teutoburg Forest. According to the operator it offers over 8,000 m² of water and wellness areas and holds the German Sauna Association's top rating, "Sauna Premium".
The sauna world spans two floors with 9 saunas in total, including a steam and an infrared sauna. The 1st floor has a 10-station Roman-Irish ritual and a strong-brine pool; the 2nd floor has the Velmers panoramic outdoor sauna (95 °C), Finnish, Kelo, bio and inhalation saunas, a cold plunge pool and a roof terrace with a whirlpool. The sauna area is textile-free according to the operator.

Closed on 24 and 25 Dec 2026 and 1 Jan 2027. Ladies' day is cancelled on public holidays in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. Every Thursday there are extra infusions and specials, according to the operator.

Parking at the thermal and open-air pool car park on Hannoversche Straße; at entry you get a QR code for exit, and the machine accepts card payment only
