Claudius Therme

Thermal baths & spa towns

About

Claudius Therme is a thermal bath in Cologne's Rheinpark with a view of Cologne Cathedral. According to the operator, a natural thermal mineral spring feeds it and the effect of the healing water is officially recognised. The operator lists 12 pools, 8 saunas and 3 steam baths.

The sauna world has three parts: a recently renovated indoor area with a panoramic sauna and a women-only section, the traditional sauna village with a Russian banja and an earth-mound sauna, and the Rosenterrassen with an outdoor pool and a floating pool. The operator says 24 infusion sessions take place daily. The baths focus on wellness and relaxation rather than families with children.
