About

Bronsbergen Boutique Wellness & Hotel is a small wellness centre with a hotel on the edge of Zutphen in the Netherlands. According to the operator it focuses on small scale, hospitality and personal attention. It has several saunas, a steam bath, a plunge pool, a whirlpool, a scrub room, a garden, a swimming pond and a heated outdoor bath; plus a restaurant and treatments.

The saunas include an experience sauna with aufguss sessions, a bio sauna, a salt stone sauna, a wood-fired silence sauna by the pond, a Finnish Kelo sauna, a 70 °C sauna and an infrared sauna. Normal operation is without swimwear, but every Friday is swimwear day and swimwear is compulsory for everyone.

Opening hours

The hotel is open every day. Swimwear days are every Friday 10:00–22:00 and, you can book by phone on (0575) 820 250 or via the website; the operator warns that when it is full it is full.

Rules and good to know

• Swimwear and other clothing are not allowed, except on swimwear days (every Friday, when swimwear is compulsory for all)
• A bathrobe, bath towel and slippers are required; missing items can be rented or bought on site
• Showering before the sauna round and between facilities is compulsory
• In dry saunas you lie on a towel covering your whole body, feet included; no towel in the steam bath
• Phones, tablets and laptops are not allowed; only e-readers without camera or internet are permitted
• Children from 12 only with an adult
• Own drinks other than water are not allowed

Getting there

By car: the centre is on the edge of Zutphen along the N314; after taking the exit, turn right immediately. Some satnavs send you onto the dike, which does not lead there. There is plenty of free parking in front.

Public transport: from Zutphen station take bus 682 (towards Doetinchem) to the Bronsbergen stop and walk 8 minutes, or bus 28 (towards Gendringen station) to the de Revelhorst stop and walk 5 minutes.
