About
Eifel-Therme Zikkurat is a brine spa pool and sauna world in Mechernich, North Rhine-Westphalia. According to the operator it has 650 m² of water surface, and the water in all pools is enriched with salt to form a brine. There are a sports pool with four 25 m lanes, a fun pool, an outdoor pool, a toddler area, a whirlpool and a 50 m slide.
The sauna world has an indoor and an outdoor part. Inside are the JALO rose quartz sauna, a sanarium (55 °C) and a steam bath (about 45 °C); in the garden are the log saunas Piha, Maa, Takka and Meri, around a natural pond, with a fireplace lounge and a bistro. According to the operator, infusion ceremonies (Aufguss) are held every hour in two of the saunas, each with a different theme.

Early swimming Mon–Fri 6:45–7:45 (not on holidays, only with a multi-use coin). During NRW school holidays it is open daily, Tuesdays included, from 10:00. The water area and the sauna must be left 30 minutes before closing.

The child rate applies from 4 to 17 years; children under 4 enter free (child sauna day ticket 23,50 €, 3 hours 21,- €). If you exceed the booked time you pay the difference to the next tariff. The Tuesday special sauna tariff without the pool is not priced on the prices page.

Rules and good to know
- According to the operator, the sauna cabins are entered unclothed
- Shower before the first infusion and after each one
- Lay a large enough towel in the saunas, under your feet as well
- Relaxation rooms, restaurant, bistro and fireplace lounge may be entered only in clothing covering the upper body and the groin (for example a bathrobe)
- Own salt, honey, food and drinks may not be brought; reserving loungers and taking bags into the relaxation rooms is not allowed
