Lechtalbad is a public swimming and sauna centre in Kaufering, Bavaria, run since 1968 by the district of Landsberg am Lech. According to the operator it offers an indoor pool all year, a natural outdoor pool in summer, and also saunas, a steam bath and wellness with massages.

According to the operator the sauna area has four saunas (Erlebnissauna, Entspannungssauna, a fireplace sauna and a bamboo bio sauna), a steam bath and infrared cabins, with an outdoor area, a plunge pool and showers for cooling off. The sauna garden is currently being extended. Under the house rules the whole sauna area is used without swimwear.

Opening hours

Sauna and bathing time ends 15 minutes before closing. The natural outdoor pool is seasonal.

Prices

According to the operator the swimming pool is included in the sauna price. A 20 % family discount applies to most tariffs; the Wertchip gives up to 20 % off. Pool prices are for the winter season; a different tariff applies in summer. The house rules list prices subject to change.

Rules and good to know

• Under the house rules the whole sauna area is used without swimwear; towels of sufficient size are required
• Benches and loungers must be covered with a large towel that fully separates the body from the surface
• Children up to 16 may enter the sauna area only with adults
• On Thursdays the sauna area is for women only (except public holidays), men of any age excluded
• Eating, drinking and reading newspapers in the cabins and rest rooms is not allowed
• Soap and shampoo may be used only in the showers, not in the rain shower in the sauna area
• Entry to an Aufguss is possible five minutes before it starts
