Kraterbad is a municipal swimming and sauna centre in the Rieser Sportpark in Nördlingen, which according to the operator (the town of Nördlingen) opened on 14 February 2026. It is a sports and leisure pool with a 25 m swimming pool (5 lanes), a course pool with a lifting floor and massage jets, a slide and a toddler area with two pools.
The complex includes a sauna building with two indoor saunas, a steam bath and an outdoor sauna, plus an ice fountain, a plunge pool, experience showers, relaxation rooms and a sauna garden with loungers. A central catering area serves the foyer, pool and sauna; all public areas are on the ground floor and step-free.

According to the operator it is closed on Mondays and special hours apply in school holidays (a separate document for the autumn holidays 2026 is available); it is closed on 24 December and New Year's Day. The town's page also still carries an older text saying Kraterbad opens on 17 September 2026 next to a note about the opening on 14 February 2026; check current operation before you go. Early swimming 6:30–8:00 has no staffed till, card payment at the machine only. On Wednesdays the sauna is ladies-only; infusion sessions there are run by trained staff, women or men, according to the operator. Guest numbers are capped at 200, and the current occupancy is shown on the site.

According to the operator, pool use is included in the sauna price when the pool is open to the public. Special tariffs (volunteers, single parents etc.) are available at the till. Value cards give 5% (50 €), 10% (100 €) and 15% (150 €) off.
