About
Kúpele Dudince is a Slovak spa with healing mineral water which, according to the operator, contains a rare combination of carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulphide. It operates three treatment houses (Smaragd, Rubín and the Minerál hotel); for the public the main draw is the Wellnea wellness centre in the Rubín house.
Wellnea offers a whirlpool relaxation pool (about 32 °C), dry and steam saunas, an infrared sauna, a whirlpool with a rest area, heated loungers (tepidarium) with salt walls and a DUO relaxation tub for two. Both resident and non-resident guests may enter, though non-residents only on set days. In summer the Dudinka summer swimming complex, about 300 m from the treatment houses, is also open.

According to the operator's website. The public may use Wellnea from Monday to Thursday; at Easter a time slot must be booked in advance. The mineral pool is open to the public on Sundays outside the season, and from 10:00 to 12:30 only for resident guests.

Rules and good to know
- Only people over 15 may enter the sauna area
- Saunas are mixed; the operator advises using them without swimwear, wrapped in a sheet, and discourages swimwear in the sauna
- Swimwear is required in the whirlpool relaxation pool and the whirlpool
- The mineral pool is for ages 18 and over and swimwear only; the operator advises leaving jewellery out because the mineral water tarnishes it
- The operator advises consulting a doctor before using a sauna, which it does not recommend for example for pregnant women or people with high blood pressure
Getting there
Wellnea is on the 1st floor of the Rubín treatment house (block G), Kúpeľná 105, Dudince
Parking at Rubín and Smaragd: 60 minutes free, then €5 per day for stays of 1–12 nights; the monitored car park about 150 m from the treatment houses is free
The operator arranges a transfer from the train or bus station to the treatment house; it must be requested at the house reception by the day before
