About
Lahn-Dill-Bergland-Therme is a municipal thermal spa in Bad Endbach, Hesse. According to the operator it offers a thermal pool with water drawn from almost 1,000 m deep (34 °C), an indoor pool, a heated outdoor pool (33 °C), a 25 m outdoor sports pool (26 °C), a bubble pool, a Kneipp basin at 18 °C and a steam bath. There is also a garden of about 4,500 m² with a sunbathing lawn.
The operator says the sauna area covers more than 2,500 m² and holds the 5-star SaunaPremium award of the Deutscher Sauna-Bund. It consists of themed saunas indoors and outdoors (Schmiede, Apotheke, Backhaus, Forsthaus), the Endbacher Dampfquelle steam bath, a sauna garden with a swimwear-free warm pool and an underwater Kneipp path, a sauna bistro and several quiet rooms. A Dead Sea salt grotto is also available.

The salt grotto runs its own 45-minute sessions between 11:00 and 18:45 (two of them for children); booking by phone on 02776 801-81. Subject to change. As of 22 Oct 2026 the operator says the salt grotto is closed until further notice because of a technical fault.

The reduced rate applies with proof for under-18s, federal volunteer service participants and severely disabled people from 70% degree of disability; the operator also says pupils and students up to 30 get reductions. The sauna is also offered as a 4-hour ticket. Overstaying costs 1.00 EUR per started half hour in the spa (plus 0.50 EUR with sauna). Children under 3 enter free. Discounts: a 50 / 100 / 250 EUR value card gives 5 / 10 / 15%, the Bad Endbach spa card 20%; combined discounts are capped at 20%.

Rules and good to know

- The saunas themselves are swimwear-free, and a towel or kilt may be worn; outside the saunas and in the restaurant, cover up with a towel or bathrobe
- Shower thoroughly before the sauna and before using the outdoor pool; enter the saunas dry and without bath shoes, with a sauna towel under you
- Phones, laptops, tablets and camera devices are banned throughout the building
- Staff run the infusion ceremonies every hour; pouring water on the stones yourself is not allowed
- Smoking is only allowed in designated garden areas; cannabis is banned across the whole site
- Bringing your own food is not welcome; you pay with the chip on the locker key, and a lost chip costs 75.00 EUR
Getting there
By car: 120 car spaces (including 6 for disabled visitors), bicycle stands, a motorcycle zone and a bay for coaches. Sat-nav address: Am Bewegungsbad 2, 35080 Bad Endbach.
By train and bus from Herborn: about a 4-minute walk from the station to the Herborn ZOB stop, then bus 403 towards Niederweidbach Aartalsee, Bischoffen; get off at Sportzentrum (about 45 minutes).
From Marburg: about 5 minutes on foot from the station to the stop, then bus 383 towards Schlierbach Brunnenstraße, Bad Endbach; get off at Sportzentrum (about 1 h 15 min).
