About
Maximare is a thermal and leisure spa in Hamm, Germany, with a water world, a 50 m sports pool, a sauna world and a wellness area. According to the operator the sauna world has seven saunas from 45 to 110 °C, three indoors and four in a 3,500 m² sauna garden.
The ArenaMare theatre sauna seats up to 100 people and hosts show infusions. There is also an outdoor brine pool (31 °C), a steam bath, a brine grotto and relaxation areas. The operator states an award from the German Sauna Association (five-star Premium Sauna, valid until 2024).

Maximare is closed from Monday 16 to Sunday 29 November 2026 for revision works. Different hours apply at Christmas, New Year's Eve, New Year and on public holidays; see the news on the operator's site. The women's sauna does not take place on public holidays and Rosenmontag.

Prices valid as of 1 March 2026. A surcharge of €2.00 per single water world ticket applies at weekends and on holidays. Children under 1 m enter free. A bathrobe rental costs €5 (deposit €25), a towel €4 (deposit €15).

Rules and good to know
- Saunas are used without clothing; in relaxation areas and the sauna garden a towel or bathrobe may be worn, and in the sauna lounge a towel or bathrobe is required
- Under 16s enter the sauna only with an adult; sauna nights are for ages 16 and over
- On Mondays the sauna world is women only; from 20:00 to about 20:45 the brine pool is accessible without swimwear
- After 22:00 on sauna nights, swimming without swimwear is possible in the outdoor brine pool (33 °C)
- Glass containers and bottles are not allowed anywhere in the spa
