About
Römersauna is the sauna section of the Elsavamar leisure pool in Elsenfeld, run by the municipality of Markt Elsenfeld. According to the operator it offers relaxation in a Roman ambience in newly designed rooms, infusion sessions, steam baths and massages.
Infusions (Aufguss) are carried out by staff only and, says the operator, use only natural essential oils. In the steam bath (40–55 °C, humidity around 80–90%) a salt, honey or chocolate peeling can be booked. Sauna admission includes the pool.

Closed 23 Dec–1 Jan and 1 Aug–13 Sep (maintenance). The pools and sauna must be left 15 minutes before closing. Infusion times come from the sauna page.

The price list gives children and youth access from age 6, while the house rules allow the sauna area from 16, younger guests only with a guardian. After 20:00 children under 15 without an adult must leave the pool. A rechargeable wristband (20 € deposit) is available, with 15% off admission when topped up with 100 €.

Rules and good to know
- Per the house rules the sauna area is a textile-free zone but not a naturist facility: after the sauna and cooling off, a bathrobe or towel must be worn, also in the catering area
- A large enough towel must be used to sit and lie on in the cabins
- Shower thoroughly and dry off before using the sauna
- Own infusion products may not be brought; infusions are done by staff only
- Mobile phones and cameras are not allowed in the sauna area
- Entry from 16, younger only with a guardian
- Swimwear is required in the wet area of the pool
