About
Rotherma is a thermal spa with a sauna park in Gaggenau-Bad Rotenfels, set in the spa park on the edge of the Black Forest. According to the operator, the thermal water comes from Rotliegend rock and is 32 to 36 °C in the pools; there are two indoor pools, a movement pool, a whirlpool, an outdoor swimming pool, a Vitalbad and an Aromabad.
The operator says the sauna park covers over 5,000 m² and has seven sauna cabins, including a rock sauna (Felsensauna) with rock showers and an ice grotto, a park sauna and two saunas in wooden huts in the park. It cites top-level certification from the Deutscher Sauna-Bund and the largest outdoor grounds in the region. Sauna park admission includes the thermal baths.

The ticket desk closes one hour before closing time. Closed on 24 and 25 Dec 2026 and 1 Jan 2027; open 9:00–16:00 on 31 Dec 2026. Ladies' day on Wednesday does not apply if it falls on a public holiday.

Prices include a changing cubicle in the shared changing area; a single cubicle costs €1 extra. From 6 May to 30 Sep 2026 the operator states that the stay in the sauna park is unlimited at the 4-hour price. Discounts for severely disabled guests and rechargeable wristbands with 6–17% discount also exist.

- The operator says that on the lawns by the spa park in the sauna park you can sunbathe without swimwear
