About
Saalemaxx is a leisure pool and sauna world in Rudolstadt, Thuringia. According to the operator it offers a slide tower, a wave pool, a whirlpool, a steam bath, a sports pool, wellness and cosmetics, and accommodation in themed houses on the grounds.
The sauna world has, according to the operator, eight saunas, a stone bath and a salt gallery: Finnish saunas indoors and log-cabin saunas in the sauna garden. Aufguss sessions run every hour, alternating between the saunas, and use essential oils. There is also a bath house with brine pools, a restaurant and relaxation areas.

From the operator's price list; the reduced rate applies to pupils, students, holders of a social pass, pensioners and people with a disability of degree 50 or more. Exceeding the time in your ticket costs 2.00 € per started hour. Multi-visit cards and annual memberships also exist (sauna flat rate 84.00 € a month for adults).

Rules and good to know
- On Wednesdays the sauna world is used by women only (except holidays and Thuringian school holidays)
- Shower before the sauna, after it and before using the pools
- Put a towel under you on all loungers and benches, also in the sauna
- The operator asks for quiet and for phones, cameras and similar devices to be put away
- Own bags may not be taken in (they are lent against a deposit at the till), nor own food or alcohol; glass bottles are banned
- A sauna round should last about 8–12 minutes and no more than 15
