Salzgrotte Mehringer Heide is a salt grotto in Emsbüren, part of the Mehringer Heide complex. According to the operator it is built from Himalayan crystal salt about 250 million years old and is meant to create sea-like, pollutant-free air.
There are two rooms: a relaxation room (Ruheraum) with loungers, blankets and calming sounds, where a session lasts 45 minutes, and an intensive room (Intensivraum) with a higher salt concentration, where a session lasts 20 minutes. Salts for home use are sold in the shop.

Relaxation room sessions always start on the full hour. The operator says the grotto may close early or open later when there are no bookings. The page gives conflicting Wednesday times (11:00–19:00 and 14:00–19:00), so they are left out; check with the operator.
