About
Salzgrotte Terra Mare in Rheda-Wiedenbrück is a salt cave, open since 17 December 2009. According to the operator it is built from about 15 tonnes of salt (ancient Himalayan rock salt from Pakistan and a mix of sea salts, including from the Dead Sea) and creates a microclimate like that at the sea or in natural salt mines.
A visit lasts 45 minutes: with calm music, quietly trickling brine features and comfortable relaxation loungers under a blanket. A session takes at most 13 people and entry is by telephone booking.
