Saunadorf Unterelchingen is a private Russian banja in Elchingen which, according to the operator, consists of two log bathhouses and a restaurant. The cabins are heated by wood-fired stoves and each has its own fenced garden with an outdoor shower.
Visits are possible by phone appointment only; according to the operator, the sauna is heated for hours ahead of each booking. The traditional ritual includes birch switches (wenik), tea from a samovar and snacks that staff bring via walkie-talkie.
