About
Saunaoase Freyung (SOFY) is a cooperative sauna complex in the town of Freyung in the Bavarian Forest. According to the operator it offers around 700 m² of KLAFS-equipped sauna landscape, with a view of the natural swimming pond and Wolfstein Castle from every sauna.
There is a Finnish panoramic sauna (85–90 °C, up to 25 guests), a Sanarium® (60 °C), a salt sauna (75–80 °C) and an aroma steam bath. Also on site are the POLARIS ice fountain, heated benches with foot baths, a Kneipp hose, a large rest room in the attic and a bistro.

Winter operation from 1 Oct 2026. Infusions (Aufguss) are usually at 14:00, 16:00, 17:30, 19:00 and 20:30, wellness peeling in the steam bath at 15:00, 17:00, 18:30 and 20:00; subject to change. The Long Sauna Night runs until midnight according to the operator; next dates are 14 Nov and 12 Dec 2026.

Regular admission applies on the Long Sauna Night. SOFY cards: Silver €500 paid in advance (5% off admission and food and drink), Gold €1,000 in advance (10%). Tickets from the machine are valid on the day of purchase; webshop tickets have no expiry date.
