Solebad Vonderort

Sauna

About

Revierpark Vonderort is in Oberhausen-Osterfeld on the border with Bottrop and offers a sauna world with a sauna garden of about 3,000 m². Indoors are a steam bath, a Valo Bad (a bio sauna with a starry ceiling) and a Finnish sauna; outdoors an earth sauna and a block sauna with a fireplace; separate women's and men's areas are also available.

According to the operator the historic brine baths (Solbad) stay closed because of corrosion damage, and a new building is being considered. The sauna part is not closed by this and the operator still recommends it. The operator also states that the pond sauna is no longer operating. According to the site the whole complex is to be renovated from 2026, and the sauna area stays open during the transition (6 saunas); the home page also reports that both outdoor pools are out of service because of a technical fault.

  • A sauna garden of roughly 3,000 m² with a rest house, a quiet room and a fire pit
  • Earth sauna (95 °C) and block sauna (90–95 °C) with a fireplace and sound-bowl ceremonies
  • Separate women's and men's sauna areas
  • Heated outdoor pool at 28–30 °C, a cold-water pool and a crushed-ice station
  • Aufguss at every full hour; a special Sunday aufguss at 16:30 for €5 (according to the operator)
