About
Terme Čatež is a large thermal resort near Brežice in Slovenia. According to the operator, the winter Thermal Riviera is the largest covered pool complex, with more than 6,500 m² of water area, open 365 days a year; the summer part with slides and a wave pool runs from the end of April to mid-September.
The Wellness Riviera sauna world covers almost 1,000 m² according to the operator, is for adults only and is directly connected to the winter Thermal Riviera. It offers a salt steam room, Turkish steam bath, extreme sauna, large Finnish sauna and IR sauna, an outdoor Finnish sauna, a herbal zen garden, a whirlpool, a cooling pool and a relaxation area with water beds. A second sauna area is in Grand Spa Terme at Hotel Terme.

Rules and good to know
- The saunas are a swimwear-free (FKK) zone, entry from age 15
- Shower before entering the sauna
- Shoes are taken off before entering; a towel or sheet goes under you and under your feet
- Clothing and bathrobes are not worn in the sauna, and jewellery is discouraged
- Only the sauna attendant may pour water on the stove
- Keep quiet in the sauna and do not read newspapers
