About
Terme Merano (Therme Meran in German) is a large thermal complex in the centre of Merano in South Tyrol. It has 26 pools, a park of about 52,000 m² and a sauna world of roughly 2,200 m². The indoor pools and sauna are open all year, the outdoor pools and park only from mid-May to mid-September.
The complex also has a spa with massages and cosmetic treatments, a restaurant, a café and bar, a fitness offer and rental of towels and bathrobes. The pool water is thermal and the indoor pools have water jets for massage.

Rules and good to know
- The sauna world is swimwear-free; a towel and sandals are mandatory
- The sauna is adults only; 14 to 18-year-olds only with an adult, no children under 14
- Children must be accompanied; from 14 they may enter alone with ID at the cashier
- The wristband is your locker key and payment card; you settle the bill at the exit
- Reservation is mandatory around Christmas and recommended otherwise
Getting there
The underground garage has 560 spaces, a few steps from the baths; the first hour is free once the ticket is validated at the main cashier. A day ticket can be topped up for 16 € to cover parking all day.
Bus 221 from Merano station stops directly in front of the spa, and lines 1, 3, 4, 212 and 225 stop nearby.
