ThermalBad Überkingen is a thermal spa in Bad Überkingen on the Swabian Alb. According to the operator, fresh spring water with a high mineral content flows constantly into the pools. There is a therapy pool (about 34 °C), an outdoor pool with a lounging area (about 36 °C) and 25 wall jets and bubbling features for a water massage.

The sauna area has the outdoor Kurpark-Chalet sauna (85–90 °C) with a sunbathing lawn, the Kahlenstein aroma sauna (55–60 °C) with a view of the Michelberg, and the Brunnensteig steam bath (40–55 °C). The operator also lists a salt grotto and infusions on a daily schedule.

Opening hours

Bathing ends 15 minutes before closing time. Closed on Christmas Eve, 25 December, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and Good Friday.

Prices

Prices according to the operator; a 1 € surcharge applies at weekends. 10-visit cards also exist (e.g. thermal baths 3 h 135 €, sauna including baths for the day 210 €). Children under 6 enter the baths free, with a children's sauna surcharge of 5 €; a 1 € discount applies to pupils, students and other groups with ID. Since 1 March 2025 the car park has a 5 € day ticket, of which the till refunds 3 € (not for hourly tickets).

By car take the A8 to exit 59 (Mühlhausen), then the B466 for about 8 km towards Geislingen; follow the Thermalbad signs, the car park is next to the building at Geislinger Straße 1

By train to Geislingen an der Steige, then bus line 965 or 966

Bad Überkingen is 3 km from Geislingen, 35 km from Ulm and 65 km from Stuttgart
