About
Therme București is a large spa and water complex in Balotești near Bucharest, on the DN1 road. According to the operator it has three zones: the family Galaxy with 1.7 km of slides and a wave pool, the adults-only The Palm with a pool under a retractable roof, mineral pools and whirlpool beds, and Elysium, devoted to relaxation.
Elysium offers themed saunas, aufguss ceremonies, massages and beauty treatments. The saunas on the site include the Himalaya sauna (salt walls, 50–60 °C), Provence, Bavaria, Hollywood, Alhambra, Amazon, Tropical Rain and Rainforest. The complex also has restaurants, parks and the Sands of Therme beach.

The first price applies Monday–Thursday, the second Friday–Sunday, on public holidays and during school holidays. The price list also shows senior and student discounts, family Smart Passes, evening and morning offers and zone-upgrade surcharges; a visit longer than 5 h 30 min is charged as One Day Holiday. A towel rental costs 31 lei, a bathrobe 39 lei.

Rules and good to know
- Elysium and the saunas are open to visitors aged 14 and over; The Palm admits children under 3 with parents and visitors from 14
- No footwear, clothing, food, drinks or electronics may be taken into the sauna; a stay should not exceed 10 minutes
- A shower is compulsory before and after the sauna, and a towel large enough for the whole body is used
- Sauna seats cannot be reserved
- Under the house rules you must bring a swimsuit, a towel and non-slip footwear

By bus: STB line 442 runs from Piața Presei Libere via Henri Coandă Airport to Therme
By car from Bucharest: on the DN1 in Balotești, about 300 m before the Hornbach store, move to the right lane with direct access
By car from Ploiești: on the DN1 turn around under the bridge at Otopeni Airport, then turn right at the Therme flags
