About
Thüringentherme is a leisure pool and sauna complex in the centre of Mühlhausen in Thuringia. A bathhouse has stood on the site since 1822; the current building opened on 4 April 1998 and, according to the operator, covers about 8,000 m². The pool hall has a sports pool with waves, a 3-metre diving tower, a 75-metre giant slide and several fun pools.
According to the site, the sauna world has seven saunas and baths: Ruusu with rose scent (85 °C), Sanarium (60 °C), a lemon sauna (80 °C), an Aufguss sauna (95 °C), a log cabin sauna (90 °C), a fireplace sauna (110 °C) and a steam bath (47 °C). The operator mentions indoor rooms, a green roof terrace and a sauna garden. Sauna admission includes unlimited use of the pool.

According to the operator, school swimming runs Tue–Fri 8:00–12:30 (valid for the first half of the 2026/2027 school year) and parts of the sports pool are reserved in the evening (e.g. club swimming Mon and Wed from 17:00); no waves and no diving tower during school and club swimming. The operator also announces a renovation closure from 2028.

Children under 100 cm enter free. On weekdays 10:00–14:00 there is a 1.50 € discount on sauna rates (not during school holidays and on public holidays). The sauna surcharge on top of pool admission is 6.00 € per person. Garage parking costs 1.50 € per hour, 10 € maximum per day.

By car from the A 4 take exit Eisenach-West, from the A 38 exit Leinefelde-Worbis
The underground car park has a height limit of 1.95 m, and guests get a 50 % discount coupon
By rail to Erfurt or Eisenach, then a regional train of about 50 minutes to Mühlhausen; a city bus also runs
