About
Monte mare Schliersee (Vitalwelt Schliersee) is a wellness complex by Lake Schliersee in the Bavarian Alps. It consists of the Vitaltherme (swimming and relaxation area), a sauna world and the Charivari restaurant. According to the operator it offers wellness with a lake view and Alpine panorama.
According to the operator the sauna world has six cabins: a Rosenquarz grotto (steam bath, about 45 °C), a Kelo sauna (about 95 °C), an infusion sauna (85-95 °C), a relaxation sauna (about 65 °C), a Regenstein sauna (about 60 °C) and a Ratsch sauna (75-85 °C) where chatting is allowed. Infusion ceremonies are led by trained staff.

Prices per the operator (sauna world price list dated 1 December 2025). Vitaltherme: a 2.50 € surcharge at weekends and holidays, young people up to 17 pay less, children under 1 m are free. Overstaying in the sauna world costs 2.00 € per started 30 minutes (Vitaltherme 1.50 €, young people 1.00 €). Rental: bathrobe 8 €, towel 5 €, XXL sauna towel 6 € (plus deposit).

Rules and good to know
- The sauna world is for ages 18 and over, 16 and over only with a companion
- Saunas, steam baths and pools in the sauna area are textile-free; elsewhere, especially in the restaurant, a bathrobe is required
- Swimwear is worn in the Vitaltherme
- Infusions are performed by staff only; do not pour water on the stones yourself
- Quiet is expected in the saunas; chatting is allowed only in the marked Ratsch saunas
- Photography and filming are banned throughout; smoking only outdoors, cannabis is prohibited
- Reserving loungers is not allowed, own food and drinks may not be brought in, glass bottles are banned
