About
West Sauna is a family-run sauna in the centre of Münster next to the Schlossgarten. According to the operator it opened in October 1966, first as a ladies' or men's sauna and later as a family sauna, and since 1981 it has been run by certified sauna master Christoph Huber.
The core is a large sauna room with hourly infusions (Aufguss) using selected essential oils. There is also a sauna garden with loungers, a cold shower and a heated open-air pool, a cold-water area with a plunge pool, a rest room and reading room, and a bar with drinks and snacks. The operator is a member of the German Sauna Association (Deutscher Sauna-Bund).

According to the operator, Sunday is a rest day, as are public holidays. Saturday hours differ on the site: most pages say 11:00–17:00, the Contact page says 10:00–18:00; it is best to call before visiting.
