In short: We picked ten places from our directory that you can reach from Prague by car in 47 minutes to just under three hours. They include a hotel sauna zone, a city aquapark, a spa, Saxon and Austrian saunas and Moravian thermal baths. For each we give the drive time, distance, price, swimwear rule, one plus and one minus.

In this article

This overview comes from our directory of places, which holds 182 hand-tracked wellness and sauna centres. We chose ten open places that are at most just under three hours from Prague by car. We wanted a varied mix: a hotel sauna zone, a city aquapark, a spa, Saxon and Austrian saunas and Moravian thermal baths. We list them by drive time, shortest first. Times and distances come from our calculations for the route by car from Prague; prices and rules come from the operators' public information, all as of 1 Nov 2026. Where we have not verified a price, we say so and the price should be taken as a rough guide only.

How to choose

Start with how much time you have. Within two hours' drive a single day is fine; beyond two hours consider an overnight stay. Then decide whether you want pools, saunas or treatments, and check the swimwear rule, because in Germany and Austria it is often different from ours. Opening hours and prices change, so for places with an unverified price, call or look at the operator's website before you go. You will find more places on the home page, where you can filter by amenities, price and drive time.
