About

Aqualip is a pool and sauna centre in Detmold which, according to the operator, offers a fun pool, a sports pool, a brine pool and two slides on 1,000 m². A sauna world and a bistro are part of it.

The Saunaland offers an indoor Finnish sauna at 90 °C, a mild tepidarium (55 °C), a steam bath with eucalyptus and an outdoor aufguss sauna at 80 °C. There are also a relaxation room, a sauna bar and massages by appointment.

Opening hours

Last admission is 20:30 for the pool and 20:00 for the sauna. On Mondays the sauna is ladies-only; on public holidays the ladies' sauna does not apply and it is open even if the holiday falls on a Wednesday or Saturday. The pools are at times reserved for schools, clubs and courses. The start and end of the outdoor pool season depend on the weather.

Prices

Prices valid from 1 April 2026. A weekend and holiday surcharge of 1.00 € applies. The reduced rate applies e.g. to children and teenagers up to 16, students, severely disabled people and unemployed people, on presentation of proof. Children up to 3 enter free. Pool-only tickets have a multi-tariff table on the site; only sauna and combined tickets are listed here.

Rules and good to know

• According to the house rules the sauna area is textile-free and the sweat rooms may be used only without clothing
• A large enough towel to lie on is required in the saunas
• Special rules apply in the relaxation room and gastronomy (bathrobe or dry towel)
• Bathing shoes may not be worn in the saunas
• Phoning, photographing and filming are forbidden in the Saunaland
• Aufguss may be performed by staff only
• Children under 16 may enter the sauna only with an adult
• Children under 7 may enter the pool only with an adult
