About
Badehuset is the bathhouse of the Freetown of Christiania in Copenhagen. According to the operator it is a central part of the community and the bathroom for many Christiania residents, but also a place where people meet.
The facilities are, in the operator's words, simple and well functioning: showers and a sauna. In summer about half of the hot water comes from solar collectors on the roof, while a wood stove in the middle of the steam room heats the sauna.
