About
Byonz is a private wellness house on the edge of Groningen in the Netherlands, which the operator presents as the largest private sauna in the country. When you book, the whole complex is for your group only, with no other guests. You can reserve a time slot from three hours, or a stay with an overnight.
The ground floor has a hot tub, a Finnish and an infrared sauna, a double rain shower, and a relaxation room with a projector and sound system plus a drinks bar. The garden has a heated outdoor pool (1 May to 1 October), a covered area with a jacuzzi and fireplace, a steam cabin with light therapy and, on longer stays, a wood-fired sauna. Upstairs are two bedrooms.

Rules and good to know
- Entry only if all guests are 18 or older; the operator may ask for ID on arrival
- Bath slippers are mandatory for hygiene
- Your own scents, oils and masks are not allowed in the sauna, steam cabin or jacuzzi
- Eating and drinking is forbidden in the saunas, pool and jacuzzi; use the lounge instead
- No smoking indoors (fine of 196 €); smoking only in the outdoor seating area
- Your own candles and open flame are not allowed, and equipment settings must not be changed
- Complaints can only be made on the spot, and entry is at your own risk
- Bathrobes, slippers and towels can be rented via the booking site, or bring your own
