About
SpaWell Groningen-Peize is a sauna and wellness resort in Peize, near Groningen in the north of the Netherlands. According to the operator it is small-scale yet spacious, with enough facilities for a whole day of relaxation.
It has several saunas with different temperatures (from a steam bath at about 45 °C to a Finnish sauna at about 90 °C), indoor and outdoor pools, a salt-water bath, bubble baths, a cold plunge pool, a restaurant and a relaxation room. On most days the resort follows a no-swimwear policy, but on selected Tuesdays swimwear is compulsory.

According to the operator it is open all year except 1 January; the 2026 public holidays have the same hours as normal days (10:00–22:30). No exceptions are made to the 19:30 check-in.

Rules and good to know
- On the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month swimwear is compulsory; in school holidays there may be extra swimwear Tuesdays
- On all other days the regular sauna policy applies and swimwear is not allowed
- On swimwear days a bathrobe over swimwear is compulsory in the restaurant and on the terrace
- The resort has no separate changing rooms
- Bring: a large bath towel, two towels, a bathrobe and slippers (rent or buy at reception), a bottle of water
