Engel Obertal Hideaway & Spa is a hotel in a quiet side valley near Baiersbronn in the Black Forest, with a history that goes back to 1780 according to the operator. The wellness area is called Wolke 7 and, according to the operator, covers more than 5,000 m² on three levels indoors and outdoors, with saunas, pools, relaxation rooms and a natural swimming lake.
The sauna world offers eleven saunas and steam baths, including a fireplace sauna and an earth sauna right by the lake. There is also a new textile area with its own sauna (70 °C) and a fireside relaxation room, where you sauna in swimwear and children are welcome. The textile-free sauna world remains for guests aged 16 and over.
