Kuuma Sauna

Sauna

About

Kuuma is, according to the operator, a Nordic community sauna run at several places in the Netherlands, in Amsterdam for example at Marineterrein, in Noord, at Sloterplas and by the IJ waterfront. A session lasts 75 minutes and the saunas are self-service with no host.

They are pop-up saunas that, according to the site, may close for the summer and open only for a limited period. You receive your door code in advance by e-mail and SMS. The cabins are hand-built in a Scandinavian spirit of simplicity, and cooling off is with a cold bucket or cold shower.

  • 75-minute sessions, entry with a door code
  • Views over the water, saunas on the quayside or by a lake
  • Session types: communal, silent, Saunaguss, group, women only
  • Cold bucket and cold shower for cooling off
  • A €27.50 yearly membership lowers the session price
