La Détente is a men-only sauna in Nancy that, by its own description, has existed for over twenty years. It is a private club whose management reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone. According to the operator, cleanliness and a friendly atmosphere are its main qualities.
The premises are air-conditioned and ventilated. They include showers, a sauna and a hammam, a bar with hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks, savoury and sweet snacks and ice cream, a relaxation lounge, a screening room and a smoking area. The entry price includes a towel and a lockable locker.

According to the events calendar, every Thursday is a themed evening called "Blackout" (not described further). On public holidays (1 Nov, 11 Nov and 25 Dec in Nov-Dec 2026) "Blackout" runs 13:00–21:00.

The price list is dated 1 October 2025. The reduced rate is applied by the till to the second. The loyalty card is free and valid only with a 20 € entry (12 points = a free entry).

- A shower is compulsory on arrival, even if you showered before coming
- Nudity is compulsory under the towel provided at the entrance
- Photographing and filming inside are forbidden
- Smoking only in the smoking area; alcohol and drugs are forbidden, and intoxicated guests are refused entry
- Prostitution and soliciting are forbidden and lead to immediate expulsion; "no" means no, and vulgarity or insistence is sanctioned, with exclusion for repeat offences
- Paid entry is not refunded, and a lost locker key costs 20 €
