About
La Monastica Resort & Spa is a boutique hotel in the former 16th-century monastery of Santa Scolastica, in the medieval village of Buggiano Castello on a hill above the Valdinievole in Tuscany, between Lucca and Pistoia. According to the operator it offers privacy, quiet and care for body and mind.
The wellness offer consists of four spacious treatment cabins and a wellness pathway with a sauna, Turkish bath and emotional showers. It also includes a tub for two carved into the rock, the Soul's Paradise pathway at the base of a medieval tower, a gym in an ancient cistern and micronized-water pools on two garden terraces. Treatments use Comfort Zone products, says the operator.
