Lesná sauna stands at the foot of a forest in Spišský Hrhov, in an old orchard with a view of Spiš Castle. According to the operator it is original in both architecture and concept: an unconventional shape outside, traditional construction inside. It has no electricity supply; it is heated with a wood stove and you cool down with water from a stream.
The sauna is owned and run by the municipal company Hrhovské služby and is free for anyone who books a slot in advance through the form on the website. It is self-service: a designated person hands over the keys and you handle everything else yourselves. The operator welcomes a voluntary contribution towards upkeep.

Rules and good to know
- Book a slot in advance (date and time); you can cancel at the latest 2 hours before the slot
- Bring enough drinking water, your own towels and a light; firewood is prepared
- Maximum capacity of the sauna is 6 people
- Recommended minimum age is 15, always accompanied by at least one capable adult
- Swimwear is not suitable for the sauna; wearing swimwear in the sauna area is prohibited
- A towel or sheet you bring must be placed under every part of the body
- Metal jewellery is not allowed, and clothes and shoes must not be left in the sauna area
- Please do not drink alcohol or smoke in the sauna
- The operator asks guests to follow the fire-safety and safe-use rules sent in the confirmation e-mail
