Naturerlebnisbad Lauenstein is a natural swimming pool in Lauenstein am Ith (Salzhemmendorf), between Hameln and Hildesheim, run by a non-profit association. According to the operator it works without chlorine or chemicals, the water cleaned by a regeneration pond and filters; the grounds have jumping rocks, a water slide, a toddler pool, a playground, mini golf and a kiosk with a beer garden.
The pool stays closed for the 2026 season because of modernisation. According to the operator the works receive 1 million euros in public funding, and the association is also collecting donations (goal 100,000 euros). The hours and prices below are from regular seasons and apply once it reopens.
