The Robert-Kampe-Sprudel is a thermal spring in the spa town of Bad Ems in Rhineland-Palatinate. According to the Bad Ems-Nassau tourism site, at 57 °C it is among the hottest springs in Germany.
The artesian water rises from the fountain under its own natural pressure; in good form and in summer it reportedly reaches up to 8 metres. When the water evaporates, 3.5 grams of mineral salts per litre remain, and for almost 150 years they have been pressed into the well-known Emser pastilles.
