Tropiqua
Wellness & spa
About
Tropiqua is a municipal subtropical pool in Veendam, the Netherlands, open every day of the week according to the operator. It has a 25 m competition pool with a movable floor, a subtropical area with two slides, bubble baths and a wild-water creek, a toddler pool and, in summer, outdoor pools with sunbathing lawns. The operator gives the water temperature in the subtropical area as 32 °C.
The wellness area has three saunas: a colour sauna, a steam sauna and a Finnish sauna. For cooling there are showers and a relaxation room with indoor and outdoor areas. The sauna is open to pool visitors aged 18 and over, and the rules say it is entered in swimwear or clothing. The site describes the sauna line-up slightly differently on different pages (Turkish, infrared and colour sauna), so check it before visiting.
