Sauna Tajch is in a boathouse by the Smolník reservoir (Úhorná lake) in the Volovské vrchy hills in eastern Slovakia. According to the operator, Maria Theresa had the reservoir built in 1768 as part of the water system of the Smolník mines.
The sauna has a capacity of 5 people and is aimed at cold-water swimmers: after heating up you cool off in the lake. It is run by FK OL Baník Smolník. According to a notice on the website the lake is being drained, and the operator is looking for another way to cool down and considering a lower price.
